I interned at Facebook during the Spring of 2016. My biggest project was developing an aggregate media picker for feelings posts which are 8% of all Facebook posts.
Internship Overview
At Facebook I worked as an end-to-end product design intern for their creative tools team. I conducted all the research, designed the user flows, built prototypes, produced final assets, and worked on implementation with engineers for the product I was responsible for which has shipped in multiple release stages.
Project Overview
The goal of my intern project was to help people better express their feelings in posts. In particular, I explored how we could include richer media experiences for people that extended beyond feelings minutiae such as stickers and GIFs. I conducted iterative experiments with Facebook users to test my design ideas.
Design Tools
Quip, Sketch, Origami Studio
Interactive Prototypes
I developed two different prototypes for a unified feelings picker which varied in the way their search experiences were structured. These prototypes were refined through several rounds of design and user testing.
